This thermometer is very accurate and is well made and durable, I used this to make rock candy for the first time and it was perfect although I got the larger size when the smaller is definitely better if you’re using just a regular saucepan, it was very easy to clean up after since it’s made out of metal and the size is exactly as described. Overall this is a great thermometer and is very useful.

The temperature seems accurate and the clip holds the thermometer in the right place away from the side of the pot. Just what we needed!

I make jelly and it have a arrow, movable, to set at heat needed. I can see above the steam and see where heat is!! No more under or over cooked jelly!

I have an old candy thermometer that I've used for years. It resembles an Old Fashioned thermometer with a tube of Mercury. This unit is much easier to read and I love that it faces upwards so that I'm not leaning over trying to see the face of my old thermometer. It has a clip so that you can attach it to your pot to keep it in place while you stir. Easy to clean as long as you don't get stuff up into the clip. Then, you're going to need a little brush to clean that out. But, that shouldn't be a problem if your pot is tall enough. If you're using a shallow pot, then this will feel a little top heavy and may have a problem staying in place.

This item appears to be good quality though have tested it yet. And, come with a lifetime warranty. Unfortunately, at my age, that warranty probably does carry much weight! :)

I liked the large readable surface -- didn't have to squint to read it. I also liked the fact that it clips on the side, but the temp part is outside the pot so it doesn't get as splattered with oil, etc.

It will not stay upright in the pan I use for candy making. Buyer beware, check the depth of your pot.

I really like the length of the probe. It works well in a deep kettle when you are making candy or fudge. Easy to use.

Unfortunately the one we received was grossly inaccurate. Off by nearly 150F in 300F oil (reading 450 ish). Another digital thermometer was reading 300F in the same pot. Placed in water to clean and was still reading nearly 220F. Water was not boiling and barely warm. UPDATE: Vendor offered to refund cost without the need to ship item back.

Accuracy of the one I recieved is off by about 15f other then that it works ok but the needle is bouncy sometimes not always and sometimes it will drop temp then go back up for no reason

Stopped working in the middle of making a batch. Amazon return process failed, the item was already back in Amazon's hands, website indicated still waiting to print label. Amazon customer service arranged refund manually. Still looking for a good, reliable thermometer!
