This inflatable basin is such a good item. My partner has had extensive surgery on his shoulder and can’t raise his arm to wash his hair. He hates having dirty hair, so this has been an absolute game changer. The two breaths to blow the thing up are absolute rubbish and it took a lot more than that, but once it was inflated, it retained most of the air, and it literally took two breaths a few days later to top it up. I used it in front of the bathroom sink, with my partner sat in a camping chair. All he had to do was lean back slightly into a position that he was comfortable in, which was the natural position to sit in the chair. I put a towel around his neck and fixed the inflatable basin over the towel. The neck straps are fiddly, and it was necessary to twist one, as the press studs have been fitted back to front, but once in place, even a single stud held in place well. It did a great job of funnelling the water straight into the sink, and there was no spillage on to the floor. The first time I used it, I didn’t tighten the neck band enough, so the towel around his neck did get damp. The second time was much better. It's amazing how much difference something such as clean hair can make to someone. Although this does feel a bit cheap, and it does have its flaws, such as the press studs, it’s still a great bit of kit, and I’m happy to recommend it.

I'm sad to say this didnt work at all for me. I have to wash my elderly mothers hair and she struggles over the bath so I thought this would work. I set her up against the sink as instructed and put it on. The water went straight down her back and soaked the chair and she was totally soaked through. It is too flimsy to stay put or blown up. Wouldnt stay firm against her neck and water went everywhere. We did have a giggle as was such a disaster. I dread to think how it would work as a bed hair wash. I think it is over priced too for what it is. Maybe it would work for a younger person but my mum cant put her head back well enough so I cant see it is suitable for a very elderly person.

I bought this so I could wash mu mums hair. The product works well and makes hair washing much easier. My mum sits in a chair and I then direct the inflatable basin into the sink. It is inflatable so easy to store and doesnt take a lot of space. I would recommend this product!

Awkward to use at first but it does serve its purpose. It’s priced a little dear for what it is but I guess this is because of the niche market for this type of item. Just make sure to have a large bucket we connected a siphon and funnel to be able to transfer easily. We also use a portable shower for washing the hair.

Poor design. It is impossible to use without water running down soaking the back of the person having their hair washed. Added to that it is almost impossible to fully inflate the device so that the part supporting the neck is not inflated.

My mum is now bed bound but needed her hair cut. This is perfect for providing a comfortable way of collecting hair and isn’t bulky in any way. Will also try for washing hair. Brilliant idea. It was also easy to blow up.

I bought this to help a hairdresser wash and cut my wife's hair. My wife has dementia, so I assisted the hairdresser keep the basin in place. It doesn't work. The water went everywhere including on my wife, much to her distress, and the floor. Completely useless, don't waste your money.
