This is a perfect palette to fill with all my favorite colors for taking on my trip. I love that there are magnets included for the pans and the tin is so pretty. There is no hinge for the lid but I prefer that since they seem to break easily. The lid can serve as a mixing palette.

Perfect as advertised small and metal lid closes airtight. Magnetic strip easy to apply to each pan. Great price. Recommend it very highly. Would even like to see same design in larger set of 60 -100 to fill in with gouache and WC paints in one place

This palette is a good size, and features pans that fit nicely in the palette. However, I took away a star because the included magnets have to be put on the bottoms of the pans perfectly or they won't actually fit. I had to go with 39 pans because the full 40 do not fit with the magnets on the bottom, and they are nearly impossible to adjust once they are stuck on the bottom of the pan, so good luck. Otherwise it's a good palette, and I got the black color so I could put stickers all over it.

I think I read every single review on this product. I was actually hesitant as to whether or not it would be useful to me. Come to find out, it's perfect! I used the magnetic strips to hold the individual cups down. My set lays flat on my desk, so they do not fall out, due to magnet weakness. I can certainly understand how they could fall out if you move the tin from one place to another, including traveling with it. The individual cups do move around a bit but I haven't found that it has been an issue at all. I did to a color chart to assure the order of the colors, should one or more come out. When I need to replace specific paint colors, I only take out one cup at a time. When I spray the pallet with water, I do take care to wipe off any excess water off the tin. I don't know that I read anything about rust, but I feel it's better to be safe than sorry. I would definitely purchase another one of these tins, when I need to add more colors from tubes. A great buy for me!

As a newbie to watercolor, I was looking for empty half pans I could use to create my own palette from tube paints. This set is perfect for my needs. The metal tin is pretty, and the half pans are just as they are described. Very happy with this purchase.

I like the travel kit and the half pans. The only thing that is un-usable as-is is the magnetic strip. It doesn't hardly stick to the pan, the glue is stuck on the backing paper and when you try to remove it, the backing paper comes apart. I had to use adhesive tags to attach the pan to the magnetic strip. I ordered a second travel kit like this from FCLUB and that one worked perfectly.

Just as expected. I bought the rose version in 2020 and recently got more colors so decided to buy a second one. I use mostly daniel smith water colors, but dont like to use it out of the tube. I love these for my pallets. Perfect for my needs. I super glue the magnets on but that's not necessary. I use double sided tape to have my color swatches taped to the lid. Overall great price and lasts forever and no rusting issues. Very happy with the purchase.

I dithered about getting one of these tins for months. It seemed unnecessary, but when I paint, I tend to gather all of the color I think I'm going to use, then when I'm done I have to figure out where they go again. I finally ordered, and I'm so glad I did! I chose this waterlilies pattern to remind me the blues and greens will be stored in there. I was also planning on putting purples in there, too. When I got it, I was unbelievably pleasantly surprised that the back was purple with pink waterlilies! It's so beautiful, so now the pinks will go in here, too, making up my standard go-to palette. And I'm going to smile each time I reach for my paints just looking at the tin. There is no hinge to the case, but that's fine. With the magnets I can split the paints out if needed and just use either the top or the bottom when painting. The bottom is much taller than the top, and the top fits on really well. You won't have to worry about the tin opening up and clattering around if you're clumsy like I am. The magnets are adhesive, but the adhesive isn't terribly strong. Perhaps that's why they included glue points. A hit of white glue would probably also work well. I'm planning on mainly using this tin for paints I already have, but I'm excited at having so many pans I can mix paint into!

This little tin with its pans that you can fill is so great for easy light mobility. Highly recommend. Like the fact that it’s magnetic so the pans don’t slide around even when the tent is only partially full

For some reason I thought this tin would be bigger, but it is a really cute tin to hold your paints in. I love Monet as a painter so it was a no brainer for me to get this tin!

I like the image on this tin but it is a little flimsy in design. The biggest issue is that it has actually arrived damaged. Both the bottom tray and the lid have rather large dints in them and the lid doesn't close securely.....possibly because of the damage. I'm REALLY disappointed, especially for the money. I have bought cheaper locally but they are much sturdier, just not as 'pretty'.
