Does the stand detach from the microphone body?

Yes, you can unscrew the mic from the stand which is come with. And we would like to let you know that it comes with a 3/8" to 5/8" adapter for use with the boom arm stand.

Can my husband and I use together for Zoom meetings without headphones sitting next to each other with laptop?

You might seriously want to try the K 690 for that, for what you're talking about. It has an adjustable pickup pattern. So you can adjust it according to how you and your husband want to sit in your space. For example you can set it to bidirectional, if you can sit on opposite sides of the microphone, or stereo if you want to sit next to each other, or on the left and right side of the mic. I don't know why the good people at the Fifine store didn't mention this option to you. Yes, the Fifine K690 is a little more expensive compared to its brothers and sisters, but it is inexpensive when compared to its comparable competitors, & I think it is superior to most of those. Not to mention that Fifine customer service is excellent, especially as compared to their competition like blue yeti. :-)

is there any windscreen or pop filter i can use on this ?

Yes. Feel free to take a look at this Fifine pop filter (ASIN:B093CWZ1LC). It's manufactured by Fifine and fits perfectly on K678 mic.

How close do you need to be for good reception?

This computer microphone is cardioid pick-up pattern, and its sweet spot is around 8 inches.
